Happy Labor Day from Max’s Restaurant
Labor Day is the unofficial end of summer. Since the 1800’s, people here in the U.S. have been honoring workers. Back in 1882, the Central Labor Union planned a march through the streets of New York City ending with a concert, speeches and a picnic.
Fast forward more than 130 years, and Labor Day has become a day to celebrate with our families, share some fun times, and of course share a meal. There’s no better place for dining in Santa Barbara than Max’s Restaurant. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner, when it comes to family restaurants in Santa Barbara, Max’s is it this Labor Day.
After a summer of hot dogs and hamburgers, you want to end the summer on a high culinary note. In fact, Labor Day is considered to be the official end to the hot dog season, according to the National Hot Dog & Sausage Council (yes one really does exist!). So, say goodbye to hot dogs and hello to Max’s this Labor Day.
Why not start the day with a family breakfast? We all know that just because it’s a day off, the kids aren’t going to be sleeping in, so you might as well take advantage and sneak some family time in with a tasty Santa Barbara breakfast. There’s nothing like a stack of Max’s famous made from scratch buttermilk pancakes. If you’re not a pancake person, don’t worry. Max’s has you covered with a selection of omelets, hollandaise classics as well as the basics like simple scrambled eggs and bacon.
While some people may opt for a picnic or barbecue for a Labor Day lunch, who wants the hassle of setting up, cooking, and cleaning? By the end of the summer, many people are done with hosting a BBQ. Maybe that’s why it’s not one of the more popular grilling days according to the stats out there. So, if you’re bailing on the BBQ but you and your family are more of the lunch crowd, head over to Max’s. There’s something on the menu for everyone at your table. From the meat lover to the vegetarian, you don’t have to worry. Meat lovers can sink their teeth into one of Max’s juicy half-pound burgers cooked just to perfection. Vegetarians can try the veggie wrap or one of Max’s salad combinations including a spinach and pear salad.
